The apartment was extremely comfortable, well maintained, well equipped and in a great location.
The apartment was within walking distance of many attractions.

When we arrived we were met exactly 30mins after phoning (as promised) and were pleasantly surprised with the apartment, which was very nicely decorated, spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect - 5 mins walk from the station and nearly on top of the Royal mile. I couldn't fault anything as it was exactly what we wanted,

We were very happy with the accommodation...it was clean and comfortable over all, with plenty of room. We thought it was definitely worth the cost. which
The location was perfect...not too far from Waverly Station, where the airport shuttle bus dropped us off, and within walking distance of most of the attractions, such as Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Castle and park, and the Dynamic Earth exhibition. It was an easy walk to the bus station, where we bought tickets to go to Rosslyn Chapel one day, and out to Laurensten Castle and some Roman ruins on another day. Also took the bus to see the Britannia.

it was totally worth the money, great accomodation, well equipped, nice furnishings, great and central location.
due to its central location the distances to the main attractions were very short. It was easy to investigate the Old Town with its Castle and Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace, or the very vivid Cowgate and

Hi Jayne, we had a wonderful time in Edinburgh and everything about the apartment worked well for us, thank you. We particularly appreciated the wifi and having some tea etc and we left some ground coffee in the same spirit.
You made it easy for us to find and get into the apartment and helped us feel that, for a couple of days, it was ours - That's about the best a host can do.

A very pleasant apartment in a very central locastion
Communication with the owner was easy and directions were excellent. The apartment is bright and modern and well equipped. A nice range of tea ,coffee etc were provided to get us started and there are plenty of small supermarkets around. We used the wifi provided to help find everything we wanted to see and had an excellent tapas meal one evening, nowhere seemed very far away. Highly recommended More...

Dear Jayne and Tony,
We are back from our travels - but we did want to tell you that the best part of our holiday was the three days we spent in Edinburgh. You live in a lovely city.
Your flat is well located and cheery, and we appreciated the tea, coffeee and biscuits you left in the kitchen, as well as the radio and guidebooks . We have already recommended it to friends.

The accommodation was very close to perfect. A slightly forbidding staircase & tiny bit complicated entry system were the only very minor quibbles. The facilities (TV, bathroom, kitchen etc) were all marvellous.
Everywhere we went was reachable easily by foot, taking in all the major attractions and shopping areas. We didnt realise that entry to the acstle is £14 each , which seemed a tad high, but we paid and enjoyed the time there. Edinburgh/Edinbrugh?/Edinborough?? is a fantastic palce to visit.

Great flat, clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and very well equipped in a brilliant position just off the Royal Mile. Don't be put off by the entrance area and three flights of stairs (you need to be fit), because it's a lovely flat when you get there! The owners, though we didn't see them, were easy to reach and very helpful. The area round the flat is busy so there is some noise at night, but you would expect that in a city centre. We really appreciated the extra welcome touches such as provision of breakfast things and soap, washing up liquid, etc. It was good value for money and we'd come again.
We were situated minutes away from mini supermarkets for provisions so that was a bonus, and there were restaurants and cafes all around. We made the most of the week to explore the city on foot. We enjoyed our visits to the Castle and the Camera Obscura and the Museum of Childhood, art galleries and the Georgian House. We weren't so taken with Dynamic Earth. We climbed up Arthur's Seat for a fine view, and had trips out to the royal yacht Britannia at Leith by bus and South Queensferry to see the bridges by train. My teenage daughter was more than happy with the variety of shops on offer. Edinburgh is hilly and our accommodation was on a hill, so expect a lot of exercise!
Glynis, Tunbridge Wells, Kent - 5th June 2011
We both loved the apartment and its wonderful location, just 150 yards from the Royal Mile down from the Tron Church and so a great location for exploring the old town and a 5 minute walk from the New Town. The communal stairs where slightly off putting though generally clean and looked after. The apartment is on the third floor and did get tough work after walking all day, though this really wasn’t a problem.
We were very impressed not only with the location but the cleanliness of the apartment as well everything was clean and tidy. We loved the tea, coffee and biscuits and saved the march up and down the stairs for a brew after we arrived.
From start to finish in the booking process Jayne was very helpful and professional. The information within the apartment was useful and I really liked the payment system through PayPal as it gave us extra confidence when booking (something no many companies do).
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and without question return to this apartment, maybe next time use it as a base to explore more of wonderful Scotland.

Christina, We had visited before but this is a Brilliant Location - 7th May 2012
It may not look it from the outside but we consider this is a wonderful apartment beautifully decorated to a high standard, spacious warm and clean. We liked the tea coffee milk sugar bisucits and cerals provided. Lots of information available. Very close to the Royal Mile. Quiet. Warm as soon as you get behind the front door with no nasty smells. Security was good. Quirky feature in bedroom due to the indentation of the circular staircase. This experience really warmed us to the idea of apartment living when we get older! Yes three flights of stairs with interesting staircase, which for us added to the charm.
Right on the high street. Next door for breakfast and may I say we experienced no noise from there. The Mitre up to the high street turn right and across the road - a good place to eat and drink and they had music too. Bins across the road for rubbish (not in your face!) Not far from the railway station, bus tours, the hub, the castle and Holyrood House. Info is there for you

The house was great, even better than the photos we had already seen before our booking. It was very clean and tidy, with all the comforts and amenities. The information we had received from the owners before our travel and the ones they had left at home for us were very useful, accurate and practical.
Location of the house is excellent, in the old town, just under Castle Rock, only a few steps from Grassmarket and all its shops, pubs and restaurants. Easy walking distance to Castle Rock, Royal Mile and so many other attractions. Almost no need to take the bus for the majority of city's sights.

Just wanting to let you know that slowly but surely I'm getting used to daily life in Switzerland again.
It was ever so nice to stay at your wonderful apartment only a couple of weeks ago and I'm thinking of my terrific stay in Edinburgh every day. What I enjoyed most was being able to return to the flat inbetween shows for a cup of tea or a quick bite since on my own I don't very often fell like visiting restaurants. Also Blair St. is located perfectly to reach the upper roads like South Bridge or to go down to Cowgate, Grassmarket etc. Plus having rented a bike made everything very easy.

"Great apartment in the most central location"
5 of 5
We were very happy with the location and comfort of this apartment. It was also bright and spacious, very clean and modern- everything that we could have hoped for. As for the location, you couldn't be any closer to the heart of downtown and yet this street was very quiet and peaceful.

My husband and I have just had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in Edinburgh. The flat was perfect for us - immaculately clean and very comfortable. It was obvious a lot of thought had gone into the design and layout of the flat to make it work for folk on holiday. Lots of places to lay things out where you could see (find!) them; thoughtful touches like soap, shampoo, shower cap in the bathroom; dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, tea towels, etc in the kitchen. Not all holiday lets are as well equipped. Jayne was very helpful both before and during our stay - even providing a sheet and blanket for my duvet-hating husband! The location is excellent - very central and accessible. As a couple of "wrinklies" we managed the stairs fine - but I would certainly advise being prudent with how large a suitacase you travel with! We would certainly recommend this apartment.

The apartment is great, very bright, kitchen with all the comforts (micro, kettle ...). The bathroom is clean, the hot water in the shower immediately and the seating is very nice. When we arrived we found also a breakfast basket with tea, biscuits, cereals, map of the city, a convenient binder with a lot of brochures and useful information for
orientation. A 10 mt. from the Royal Mile and the starting point of the free guided tours (walking tours Sandemans). In a few minutes you can reach the castle and the train station. We paid 40 Euro per person per day (very cheap when compared to the average prices in pounds of the hotels in the area that offer overnight stay + breakfast, the prices of which are never less than 45-50 euros). There is a Tesco comfortable comfortable a few hundred meters from the apartment or you can eat out (we ate very well and spent little in St. Rose, and in a typical little place in the port area, near the Britannia.
100% would recommend this apartment, we had no problems with noise from the clubs in the area because the apartment is on the third floor (the only downside: the stairs; many, narrow, old-growth ... but once inside the apartment will be pleasantly surprised ...)

Many thanks. We very much enjoyed our stay inyour flat and had a fabulous time in Edinburgh. I would like to thank you also for the extra little touches.
I felt very comfortable with Tony and Jayne. Very easy to communicate with and very quick to respond to any messages. Me and my boyfriend were there for around 3 weeks and had no worries.
Tony and Jayne make all the instructions very clear and have a booklet of any help you may need. It's a lovely flat with plenty of space for two people and perfect for a couple. Has a beautiful living room and is very well located with just waverley train station down the hill. I would recommend this flat to any two people looking to stay in Edinburgh! Worth walking three flights of stairs for!

The apt is very nice to live. Self check-in is convenient and location was great. It's the best Airbnb I experienced ever, comfortable bed, everywhere clean, well-prepared essentials. Highly recommend!

“Great communication with Toni and Jayne throughout and the flat is fantastic and ideal of a couple. It is perfectly situated just off the Royal mile making it ideal for doing all the touristy things. It is on the 3rd floor (no lift) so travel light unless you are into body building. The stairs are nice and wide so easy to negotiate. Great cafe on the ground floor does breakfast and is open until 1am. Good news is the flat is at the rear of the property so very little if any noise. Thoroughly recommended. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit.”

Lovely spotlessly clean and warm apartment, the stairs could be a worry with people with difficulties but we managed fine. Beautiful Linen and bathroom. Close to restaurants, hotels and transport and The Castle in walking distance. Really enjoyed our stay.
A very nice, well-equipped and fantastically well-located apartment just off the Royal Mile. Everything was clean, everything worked and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I strongly recommend this apartment.

“The location of the apartment was really wonderful. We were so close to all of the tours and tourist things to do in Edinburgh. By the end of our two weeks we were even in much better physical shape than when we arrived - walking up the stairs was really a great workout. But well worth it for the location.”
review from Air bnb sept 2016
“We didn't meet our hosts but they communicated well and checked that we had navigated the key code entry. The flat was great – comfortable, clean, everything we needed for our stay – and just a step away from the Royal Mile, and 5 mins or so from the rail station. It's also very close to the Jazz Bar – a bonus for a jazz buff like me – and the bouncers from next door's cafe showed us the way. Thanks guys! So pretty much ideal for a stay in the city. And the flat gets afternoon sun so it's lovely to hang out there if you need a breather between all the sightseeing etc. If there's a downside – and this is only applicable to old gimmers like us – it's the three fights of stairs up which you have to haul bags. Just travel light – you never need half the stuff anyway! We enjoyed this apartment and would certainly stay again if we go back to the city. So thank you very much, Tony and Jayne”

I can recommend this apartment with a clear conscience (URL HIDDEN) The location is super Central and easy to find. The "self check in-checkout" is very easy and the landlord great. (Also for people without good knowledge of English.) There are three things for me to be aware of, but I do not want to call it a criticism because the landlord has no influence on it: 1.) The stairwell definitely won no beauty prize and is Not inviting But fulfills its purpose. 2.) As described is the apartment on the 3rd floor, without lift. For the one "no problem", for the others a fitness program. It does not harm anyone. 3.) The apartment is now times in a large city and very central, so you must also in the night (especially on the weekends) with noise. (Partygäste, garbage collection, hospitals, etc.) The apartment itself, however, it all out. It is just like in the photos and the description. You immediately feel very comfortable and at home. Everything was very clean and comfortably furnished. Jayne evaluates the apartment also with small details, which I appreciated very much: A city guide in German / coffee, tea and milk / soap etc (URL HIDDEN) Conclusion: Very nice landlord. Nice, central, clean apartment. Good value for money. I would go back to Tony and Jayne again. Thank you, Jayne. We had a great time with you in Edinburgh.
